The home décor expo in Greater Noida ends

The Home Décor Gift Handicraft India 2021 show, which concluded at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida on December 4, was a wonderful combination of ancient and modern ideas.

The 10th edition of the four day trade show for home products was hosted on Greater Noida for the first time and had visitors from over 460 cities and towns across India.

Padma Shri awardee Lajwanti displayed phulkari embroidery products at the pavillion.

23 year old Kimberly Khyriem, a fashion designer from Meghalaya showcased her collection of home linen, furnishings, beddings and apparel made of Erisilk. Erisilk is also known as “ahimsa silk” as it is produced without harming insects. Khyriem is a graduate of NIFT, New Delhi. She is also an incubatee of NIFT Foundation Design Innovation, a company set up by NIFT under the ministry of textiles wherein the government promotes startups in the industry.

As per the experts, home décor industry has seen a boom since the COVID 19 outbreak.

Arun Roongta, managing director of HGH India said, that Noida and Greater Noida is a major upcoming market for interior décor because it’s a hub of new real estate investments. For young generation with likes to experiment with home décor, traders have offered a very good range of products at HGH expo, he added.
