BMW to launch iX Electric SUV in India on December 13; check the details
The first-ever electric SUV iX of BMW is all set to hit the roads in India on December 13. The new addition in BMW is going to reach India via the CBU route and will take on the likes of Mercedes-Benz EQC and Audi e-tron SUVs. Being the flagship model of the company, this car will provide around 611km on a single charge.
iX is available in two variants – iX xDrive 40 and iX xDrive 50. iX xDrive 40 gives 326hp and 630Nm of high torque while giving a driving range of about 414km, as per the WLTP cycle. According to BMW, the iX xDrive 40 can sprint from 0-100kph in 6.1sec. On the other hand, the iX xDrive 50, will be able to give 523hp and 765Nm of high torque and has a driving range of up to 611km on the WLTP cycle. This model can sprint from 0-100kph in 4.6sec.
Coming with dual electric motors, these two models give all-wheel drive.
The xDrive 50 variant of the iX comes with a 105.2 kWh battery, while the xDrive 40 has a 71kWh battery pack.
