As the film strides confidently into its second week, it continues to captivate audiences, solidifying Devgn’s most successful box office journey to date.
A Blockbuster Opening Weekend
The film burst onto the scene with a bang, raking in Rs 62 crore on its opening day, which coincided with Gandhi Jayanti. The momentum didn’t stop there; it surged through the weekend, pulling in Rs 53.50 crore on Saturday and a whopping Rs 61 crore on Sunday, culminating in a staggering Rs 176.50 crore weekend.
Strong Weekday Performances
Even as the weekdays rolled in, “Drishyam 3” maintained a steady draw at the box office. Monday saw collections of Rs 21 crore, which dipped slightly to Rs 19.50 crore on Tuesday. Midweek, the numbers were Rs 15.50 crore on Wednesday and Rs 13 crore on Thursday. Adding to this, early trade estimates suggest that Friday, the eighth day, brought in about Rs 14.50 crore, pushing the total India net collection to approximately Rs 260 crore.
Cracking Global Records
The global success of the film is no less remarkable. While figures may vary among trackers, reports by The Week indicate a global gross of Rs 383.60 crore, heralding it as Devgn’s highest-grossing worldwide release. Outlook, however, places the global total beyond Rs 400 crore by the end of day eight, though these numbers should be taken as preliminary.
