Fintech startup PayGlocal raises $4.9 million in Series A round

PayGlocal, a payment solutions company has raised $4.9 mn in Series A round led by Sequoia Capital India with participation from BeeNext, Jitendra Gupta and Amrish Rau. The company will make use of funds for growing its merchant ecosystem, scaling up products and expansion of the team.
The lack of frictionless payments solution impacts merchant credibility and leads to frustration among the customers. Identifying this problem, Prachi Dharani, Rohit Sukhija and Yogesh Lokhande launched PayGlocal, a payment solution catering to the merchants who need to accept the payments from customers who are residing outside India. This solution cuts through the complexities and optimizes the payment performance across the board.
It partners with private and public sector banks to run a globally operable stack that makes international payments acceptance available to a lot of merchants.
